I am a qualified TEFL teacher with 10 years’ experience of successfully helping students of all levels to improve their written and spoken English.
My lessons are about your learning. Sometimes students need a more tailored approach, and my previous career as a graphic designer enables me to easily create material which addresses a variety of problems that naturally occur as part of the learning process.
As someone who has learnt a language from beginner to proficiency level in a foreign country – I lived and worked in Sweden for six years – I can empathise with students, and recognise the challenges they face every single day. I am now learning Greek, and being a language learner once again allows me to value patience and encouragement. It also makes me a far better teacher.
MY TEACHING JOURNEY
I started teaching English when I lived in Sweden. It was only one evening a week, but I loved helping people learn, and loved the feeling of satisfaction. After I moved back to London, I qualified as an English teacher.
Ten years ago, I decided it was time to change my career. I said goodbye to graphic design, and embraced the challenge of becoming an English teacher.
I love teaching. It was an inspired decision.
